Data Analyst Intern - Japan Community Operations
About the Role
Uber's Community Operations (CommOps) team is at the heart of delivering a world-class customer experience. We are looking for a Data Analyst Intern to drive insights and analytics that will enhance the efficiency, effectiveness, and overall quality of Uber’s customer support operations. This role will involve deep-dive analyses, building dashboards, and developing data-driven solutions that improve support processes and drive strategic decision-making.
What You’ll Do
- Analyze large datasets to uncover trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities in Uber’s customer support operations.
- Conduct deep-dive analyses to provide insights that improve support processes and customer experience.
- Assist in building and maintaining dashboards and reports to track key performance metrics (e.g., CSAT, contact rates, resolution times).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance data-driven decision-making.
- Work closely with the CommOps team to translate data findings into actionable recommendations.
What You’ll Need
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Business Analytics, Computer Science, Engineering, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Basic proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau and Google Sheets.
- Fluent in spoken and written English and Japanese.
- Some experience with Python, R, or Excel for data manipulation is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
