JOB DETAILS: Location: Shanghai, China Onsite/Hybrid: This role requires the student to work full time, either in a hybrid or onsite or remote work structure throughout the duration of the co-op/intern term. Duration: 07-01-2025 to 12-31-2025. WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING: We are seeking highly motivated Physical Design Engineering intern/co-op to join our team. In this role – Assist in RTL-to-GDSII implementation for advanced technology nodes. Support physical design tasks, including floorplanning, power planning, placement, clock tree synthesis (CTS), routing, and signoff. Perform timing analysis (STA), power analysis, and physical verification (DRC/LVS). Work with industry-standard EDA tools (e.g., Synopsys, Cadence). Collaborate with cross-functional teams (RTL design, verification, DFT) to ensure design quality. Help optimize designs for performance, power, and area (PPA). Document and present findings to the engineering team. WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR: Currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field. Basic understanding of digital design, CMOS circuits, and VLSI concepts. Familiarity with Verilog/VHDL and scripting languages (Tcl, Python, Perl). Exposure to EDA tools (e.g., Innovus, ICC2, Fusion Compiler, Primetime) is a plus. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
